Details
At Woebegone Dive, we run our Open Water Course over three epic days right here in Jervis Bay — combining professional training with some of the best diving south of the GBR.
Here’s how we do it
Day One – Theory + Pool
We start with your dive theory, covering equipment, safety, dive planning and underwater communication.
Then it’s into the pool to build confidence and master your foundational scuba skills — mask clearing, buoyancy control, regulator recovery, ascents and descents.
By the end of the day, you’ll feel comfortable and ready for the ocean.
Day Two – Beach Dives in Booderee National Park ***dive sites subject to weather conditions
We complete two ocean dives from shore inside the stunning Booderee National Park.
This is where everything clicks. You’ll practise your skills in calm coastal conditions while starting to explore real reef environments.
Note: National Park entry fees may apply, but there’s always an option to carpool with your instructor.
Day Three – Two Boat Dives in the Jervis Bay Marine Park
The final day is what sets us apart.
You’ll head out on our epic dive boat into the Jervis Bay Marine Park for two boat dives.
Here you’ll finalise your skills, refine your buoyancy, and come face-to-face with our incredible local marine life — from vibrant reefs to the possibility of rays, seals and grey nurse sharks.
